On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 6:44 a.m., Decatur County Sheriff Deputy Gary Hines was traveling south patrolling on Faceville Highway, Decatur County, Georgia, when he observed, and radar clocked a vehicle traveling north at a speed of 87 miles per hour. The posted speed limit is 55 miles per hour on this highway. Deputy Hines turned around on this vehicle, turned on his patrol vehicle emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Murray Road. Deputy Hines arrested Joshua Grimes, and Marquis Anderson for possession of marijuana (less than an ounce). Both Grimes and Anderson were transported to the Decatur County Jail.
