At 4:19am on Friday morning, a truck pulling a trailer loaded with heavy metal drove through a stop sign located at the intersection of Shotwell Street and the Bypass near the gas terminals. The driver proceeded straight across Shotwell Street and came to a stop in the ditch on the side of the road. BPS Shift 2 responded to the scene of the accident. According to Captain Terry Pait, no injuries were reported, but there was significant damage to truck.
