Gina Lyn Helms Garner, 58, of Whigham, GA, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Opp, AL.

Gina Lyn Helms was born December 5, 1960 in Opp, AL, the daughter of Theodore Hershel Helms and Erma Jean Tanner Helms. She had a sweet spirit and kept to herself most of the time. Gina’s humbleness invited others to see her as a grandmother figure. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, working crossword puzzles and watching television. Gina’s favorite show was “In The Heat of The Night”; she never grew tired of the reruns and became an expert on the happenings of Bill Gillespie and Virgil Tibbs.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Lyn Garner; her mother, Erma Tanner Helms of Opp, AL; and her brother, Joe Helms also of Opp, AL. Gina was preceded in death by her father; and her son, Jonathon Garner.
