At Tuesday’s meeting of the Bainbridge City Council, Matt Kornegay and Trent Olhausen were sworn in as Bainbridge Public Safety’s newest officers.


Kornegay is a graduate of Chiles High School in Tallahassee and studied Industrial Electrical at Southern Regional Technical College. Before joining Bainbridge Public Safety, Kornegay served as a patrol officer with the Albany Police Department. He is married to Holly, and enjoys fishing in his spare time.

Olhausen is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended Bainbridge State College. Before joining Bainbridge Public Safety, Olhausen was employed with Brinson Farm Supply. He graduated from the Fire Academy on March 1st and from the Police Academy on June 21st.
