A City of Bainbridge street sweeper caught on fire this morning as workers were preparing to pave Randolph Street. We are pleased to report that the operator of the sweeper was able to jump off as soon as he noticed the flames, and was not injured. The equipment is a total loss.
Alice Street has been reopened to traffic.
