Mr. Wesley Joel Wells, age 71, passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, May 6, 2019, at Miller County Nursing Home in Colquitt, Georgia. Services for Mr. Wells will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 8, Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Bro. Jack Cowart will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.
Wesley Joel Wells was born July 12, 1947 in Apache, Oklahoma. His parents, Dock C. Wells and Marie Josey Wells, have preceded him in death. Wesley proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was the founder and co-owner of C and W Recycling.
Any opportunity and you would find Wesley fishing. He loved watching squirrels, birds, any outdoor critter. He loved Reese Cups. Mostly, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. A hard worker, caring father, wonderful grandfather, Wesley Wells will be deeply missed by his large family and many, many friends.
Wesley Wells is survived by his daughters, Shirley Fulbright (Scott) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Popsicle Busby (David) of Colquitt, GA; sons, Robert Henry (Lisa) of Colquitt, GA, Billy Davis, Scooter Wells (Bridgett), both of Damascus, Georgia, Peewee Wells and Tadpole Wells of Bainbridge, GA., and Booger Wells (Belinda) of Arlington, Georgia; grandchildren, Jared, Jasmine, Kolt, Kindryn, Kennah, Jr, Khaos, Summer, Adam, Jennifer, Chris, Amanda, Brenda, Robin, Goober, Brittany, Savannah, Kaitlyn, Ladon, Selena, Cliff, Jr, Amber, and Gary; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Iona Duke; brother, Willie Wells; granddaughter, Kitten; and ex-wife of 40 years, Nell Wells.
