Ronnie Collins

Mr. Ronnie Collins, age 74, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Services for Mr. Collins will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 3, 2019, at Open Arms Ministries, Bainbridge, Georgia. The interment, with military honors, will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. William Rosario, Dominic Rosario, Alexander Rosario, Elio Collins, Joseph Collins, Herman Peterson, and Charlie Cook will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Sunday, June 2, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.

Ronnie Collins was born November 22, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia. His parents, Joseph Columbus Collins and Lizzie Dollie Brock Collins, have preceded him in death.
Ronnie married Frances Farmer Collins. He and Frances have been married 50 years. Ronnie retired from Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals Corporation (BASF). Ronnie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to play vintage rock ‘n roll or Southern gospel on his guitar. He was very creative. Ronnie could build anything. Ronnie Collins will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Frances Farmer Collins of Bainbridge; son, Shane Collins and wife, Monica of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters, Jean Feldt and husband, Jeep of Seneca, South Carolina and Glenda Krabbe and husband Robert of Seneca; brother, Joe Collins and wife, Liz of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Joseph Collins and Elio Collins; special friends, William and Stephanie Rosario and their children, Dominic, Lily, and Alex, and Patricia Purvis; and his faithful companion, Brownie. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Collins, and nephews, Brian Collins and Gregory Krabbe.
