Submitted by Bainbridge Public Safety

On Sunday, May 5th, Bainbridge Public Safety was invited to participate in “Public Safety Day” at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Randolph Street.

Children of all ages were thrilled to be able to explore inside two fire engines and a patrol vehicle. Officers passed out activity books and fire hats, and spoke to the children about important topics such as fire safety and calling 911.

The event, which began around 11am, concluded with a delicious hot-dog lunch which was enjoyed by all.

The following Bainbridge Public Safety officers and staff had a great time sharing and interacting with the children: Investigator Chris Jordan, Engineer Jeff Kelly, Officer Leroy Akins, Sergeant David Cutchin, Captain Nigel Hurst, and Administrative Assistant Janette Mowry.
