James Edward Brown

Mr. James Edward Brown, age 82, passed away very suddenly, Monday, May 20, 2019.  Services for Mr. Brown will be held Thursday, 10:00 am, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  Interment went follow in Calvary Assembly of God, Spring Creek Road, Brinson, GA.  Steve Brock, Tyler Chambless, Ronnie Brown, Donald Wayne Brown, Anthony Brown, and John Cumbie will serve as pallbearers. 

James Edward Brown was born October 28, 1936 to G B Brown and Alma Lee Chumbley Brown.  James was born in Gordon, Alabama and spent most of his childhood there before moving to Bainbridge, Georgia.   James married Ruby Nell Faircloth, who has preceded him in death.  James worked as a supervisor at Pet Dairies until his retirement.  He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and was an avid NASCAR fan.  His favorite drivers were Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon.  James had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed visiting with the staff and clients of County Line Auto Parts.   James will be deeply missed by his family and many, many friends.  He would leave you with this thought – Roll Tide!              

James Edward Brown is survived by his children, Tami Eileen Taylor of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Debra Courson of Andalusia, Alabama; brothers and sister, George Thomas Brown, Robert Jean Harrell (Yvonne), and Gloria Jean Harrell (Bill); grandchildren, Jamie Fortson, Alicia Driggers, Danielle Vega, Jeremy James Bowers, and Ashley Sutton; and great-grandchildren, Amber Nicole Fortson, Christopher James Fortson, and Alexander James Bowers.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, Joseph Edward Brown, William Larry Brown, and Brenda Gail Solis; brother, Donald Earl Brown; and sister, Sandra Joyce Brown.
