Mrs. Evelyn Hanna Burns, age 95, formerly of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Seasons Hospice, Cummings, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Burns will be held graveside at Oak City Cemetery, 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 5. The Rev. Chris Humphries will officiate.
Evelyn was born February 23, 1924 in Decatur County, Georgia. Her parents, Ralph Gordon Hanna and Lucille Wilson Hanna, have preceded her in death. Evelyn married James (Jim) Franklin Burns. Jim passed away in 2005. Evelyn was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge.
Evelyn Burns is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Palmer Peterman and husband, Ken of Cumming, Georgia; grandchildren, Pat Palmer (Michelle), Ken Palmer (Kim), Chris Palmer (Kim), and Burt Palmer; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Palmer, Wade Palmer, Nathan Palmer, Michael Palmer, Caden Palmer, and Pierson Palmer.
