Mr. Vernel Hough O’Neal, age 80, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Bainbridge Healthcare, Bainbridge, Georgia. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 6, in Union Hill Cemetery, Highway 92 North, Cairo, Georgia. The Rev. Eric Robertson will officiate.
Vernel O’Neal is survived by his children, Stacy Clark and husband, Jeff of Cairo, Georgia, Vance O’Neal and wife, Melia of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jeff O’Neal of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Faye Martiszus of Safety Harbor, Florida and Dell O’Neal Simonson of Trinity, Florida; brother, John Thomas O’Neal of Midway, Florida; grandchildren, Jason Clark, Keri Clark, Eric Robertson and wife, Ciara, Madison Clark,
and Emilyn O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry O’Neal and Clara Adel Jenkins O’Neal; brothers, Hilton Lee O’Neal, Dewey O’Neal, and Derhl Henry O’Neal; and sisters, Loretta O’Neal Pugh, and Imogene O’Neal Alvarez.
