Mr. W. L. (Buddy) Cook, Jr, age 63, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at his home in Seminole County, Georgia. Services for Mr. Cook will be held at 2:00 pm., Friday, March 8, at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church, Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Rawleigh Furney will officiate. Interment will follow in Beulah Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1.00 pm.
W. L. (Buddy) Cook, Jr. was born August 6, 1955 in Richmond, Virginia. His parents, W. L. Cook and Evelyn Chason Cook have preceded him in death. He was raised in Climax, Georgia. Buddy Cook loved to fish. He raced monster trucks. Buddy raised a wonderful vegetable garden and enjoyed sharing with everyone. He loved tractors and golden oldies music. Buddy Cook will be deeply missed by his large family and many, many friends.
Buddy Cook is survived by his children, Jennifer Roney (Shaun), Tabitha Smith (Rocky), Ann Murkerson, and Candace Wells (Charles); grandchildren, Austin Roney (Angel), Ashlynn Roney (Addam), Robert Jones (Brianna), Christopher Jones (Abigail), Haley Murkerson, Katie Cloud, and Lacey Cloud; great-grandchildren, Layla Roney, Arya Rayne Roney, Christopher Adam Jones, Sabreena Jones, and Robert Jones, Jr.; and sisters, Faye Logue (Randall), Joann Holley (Roger), and Patricia Cook. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billie and Sallie Cook, parents, and brothers, Timmy Cook and Terry Wayne Cook.
