CSX Transportation has recently announced a track maintenance project set to begin on Monday, November 13th, 2023. This project will include the installation of new railroad ties along sections of the CSX Bainbridge subdivision. The project title is Bainbridge Port Lead and Yard T8.
This will be a one-week project that will begin on Monday, November 13, 2023, and end on/around Friday, November 17, 2023. It will impact many railroad crossings located in Bainbridge and Decatur County.
Below is a list of all of the crossings that will close as a result of this work, along with estimated closure dates. Please keep in mind these dates are merely the best approximation that can be provided at this time. These dates are highly subject to change, with or without notice, simply due to many of the unforeseen circumstances that can occur in the field once the work begins. Crossings will be closed anywhere from 2-5 days due to the type of maintenance they are set to receive. However, with the one way in/out crossings, CSX will work as hard as possible to have those accessible within a 24-hour period (or less).
