Leonard Joseph “Len” Kistner

August 28, 1946 – April 2, 2022

Leonard Joseph Kistner, age 75, of Climax, GA, passed away Saturday, April 2nd, 2022.

Len was born Wednesday, August 28th, 1946, in Pensacola, Florida the son of Leonard Emory Kistner and Inez Marie Arcement Kistner. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with his bachelor’s in Languages. Len worked at Bainbridge College as a Business professor. He got his MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management and his Ph.D. from Capella Online University. While in California, he taught business through the University of California system. And, once leaving California he continued his teaching career within the Georgia State system.

Survivors include wife of 52, Gisela Kistner; siblings, Wayne Kistner of California, Cheryl Kistner Romig of South Carolina, and Jo Ann Kistner Brown (Mark) both of California; 5 nieces; 4 nephews; 1 great-niece; and 2 great-nephews.

Len was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marlin; and nephew, Jeffrey.

  1. I am so sad over the loss of my big brother. He had such a brilliant mind and truly found his life purpose in teaching. God Bless you Len. I will so miss our talks. My loving thoughts are with you Gisela. Thank you for being such a devoted wife.

  2. Gisela, I tried calling Len today and the number is no longer working so checked and found Len passed in early April. I am so saddened at the loss of my friend Len. Years ago when I was out of work, Len was there giving tips and cheering me up. We had a great time leading the Minnesota chapter of the PDMA organization. Was always in awe of his depth of knowledge. My deepest condolences 💐 on the loss of your husband.
