Mary Ann Goodwin, 73, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 18th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with Pastor James Scarborough officiating.
Mrs. Goodwin, a native of Bainbridge, GA, was born on Thursday, February 3rd,1949 to the late William Henry Wimberly Sr. and Ella Vernie Wimberly.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing Solitaire, talking to EVERYONE and most important… her family, reading her Bible and a member of Faceville Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Stjude.org or Autismspeaks.org.
Survivors include her daughters; Christie Bruce (Milton) of Faceville, Shelia Harvey (Edwin) of Colquitt, and Kimberly Slaughter (Jason) of Bainbridge.
Grandchildren include: Michael, Mitchell, Shane, Kristopher, Shawn, Jonathan and Gregory.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings; William Wimberly Jr., Jerry Wimberly, Poshil Hand, Patricia Gadd, Alvin Wimberly and Wallace Wimberly and a son, Greg Merritt.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
