Leslie Calvin Williams was born June 25, 1957, in Quincy, FL, the son of Elmer “Big Will” Raymond Williams and Sarah Glass Williams. He married the love of his life, Tonya Faircloth, in 1974 and they made their home in Southwest Georgia. Leslie co-owned Flint River Diesel and was Pentecostal by faith.

Working was in Leslie’s blood. His hours were “from can to can’t” and he probably dreamed of working on diesel engines when he finally fell asleep. He played the guitar and enjoyed “cooking” with family and friends. Leslie loved to fish especially when the fish were bedding. A fresh mess was an invitation to gather around the fish cooker and talk about the days gone by.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Tonya Faircloth Williams; his children, Wendy & Mike Daniel of Albany, GA, and Ray & Tiffany Williams of Donalsonville; his grandchildren, Ashley & Shawn Dunn, Ramsey Williams, Gabriel Williams, and James & Sadie Daniel; his great-grandchildren, Bella, Nevaeh, Leland, Terry, Blazyn, and Raelynn; his siblings, Terry (Pam) Williams of Early County and Regenia Williams (Bijon) Anvar of Bainbridge; and a host of extended family. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)

  1. So sorry for ya’lls loss I didn’t see him much in the past few years but when I did he never forgot me. That smile was always there when we saw him we were friends as kids eating and playing around Big Will’s RIP friend
