Barbara Ann Thompson Blanchard, age 77, of Bainbridge, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Thomasville, Georgia.
No services are planned at this time. Barbara was born on August 15, 1948, in Bainbridge to James Gary and Mary Idell Wright Thompson. She married the love of her life, William Henry Blanchard, on December 17, 1965.
Barbara graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1966 and was retired from Memorial Hospital and Manor, where she was a dietitian. She enjoyed drinking coffee and watching movies with her daughter and granddaughter. Barbara loved her yard and enjoyed cutting the grass and planting flowers. A loving and caring person, Barbara loved her family with all her heart. She was a spitfire and said what she was thinking. She fought cancer for 11 years and never backed down from this fight.
Barbara Blanchard is survived by her children, William Henry Blanchard, II (wife, Brenda) of Jackson, Georgia, Anthony Jerome Blanchard (Naomi) of Bainbridge, and Connie Webb (Mickey Conner) of Bainbridge. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Melissa Ann Webb of Bainbridge, and her siblings, James Thompson (Joyce) of Brinson and Thelma Hartzo of Warner Robins, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Blanchard; her parents, James Gary and Mary Idell; her son-in-law, Kenneth Webb; and her sister, Mary Eloise Weaver.
