Anita Claire Rogers, age 78, passed away very early on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, at her home in Climax, Georgia. A memorial service is being planned. Date and time will be made available once completed.
Anita Claire Cronk was born June 20, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Russell Cronk and Marguerite Mitchell Cronk Plitnick. Anita grew up in Milford, Connecticut. She married John Rogers, who preceded her in death. Anita adored horses and loved music. After the death of her husband, she moved to Florida to be near her mother. They later moved to Climax, Georgia. She was a devoted member of Climax Baptist Church. Anita enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a good mother, daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor. She leaves many friends and family who will dearly miss her.
Anita Rogers is survived by her mother, Marguerite Plitnick of Climax; children, LeAnn Rogers of New Britain, Connecticut and John Rogers, Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado; siblings, Lynne Bashura (George) of Seymour, Connecticut and Steve Cronk (Carol) of Matthews, North Carolina; granddaughter, Josephine Rogers; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and father.
