October 25, 1953 – January 26, 2025
Tommy Lynn Heath, age 71, of Climax, Georgia, passed away on January 26, 2025, at his home.
Graveside services for Mr. Heath will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax. Rev. Jimmy Ausburn will officiate.
Tommy Lynn Heath was born on October 25, 1953, to his parents, Charles Jasper Heath and Ruth Alyse Byrd Heath. Tommy was an immensely talented artist who, early in his career, hand-lettered signs on monuments for the South Georgia Granite Company. He later found his calling as a Collision Repair Specialist at River Bend Ford in Bainbridge. He retired from Martin’s Paint and Body Shop after many years of expert service.
Tommy’s love of Hotrods always kept him busy, and his latest restoration, a classic red 1971 Chevy Camaro, was nearing completion in his final days. Tommy had a big heart and loved his family in a big way. He was always there when needed and helped take care of his mother up until her passing only a few short years ago. His favorite memories were going fishing and picking pecans along the dirt roads with his dad. He loved the beach, drag races, farmers’ markets, and Sunday football. He was sensitive, quiet, and liked his privacy. He would absolutely rather be sitting on his front porch, watching the sunsets and the cotton grow rather than anywhere else in the whole world with the sound of country music or southern rock always on the radio. He was a simple kind of man and whom his family loved with all their hearts.
Tommy Lynn Heath is survived by his only daughter, Maranda Heath (partner, Elliott Kincaid) of Thomasville, his loving brothers and sisters, Donald Heath (wife Vicky) of Brinson, Russell Heath of Bainbridge, Deborah Gleaton (husband Phillip) of Bainbridge, and Susan Josey (husband Craig of Climax. A special thank you goes to his niece and caregiver, Sarah Josey, of Climax.
