  3. A sudden death with no warning, is devastating. I know from firsthand experience. On the other hand, we can find comfort that our loved one did not suffer long term. Steve, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. That expression sounds so hollow when said. But when those words are backed up with genuine concern and love, then the words are most powerful and appreciated. Steve, I hope you can find peace and comfort in that Margie died suddenly in a place she loved. Ronnie died suddenly face down in the dirt on this old farm he loved. Sudden death is both devastating and comforting. BTW: Your first holidays will be the worst.

    My best,

    Gayle Gamble Thomas (Ronnie’s widow)

  4. I am so sorry to hear this devastating news.
