Joan Ella Culverson, 92, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Joan Ella Erickson was born June 2, 1931, in Albany, New York, the daughter of Thomas and Irma Hoffman Erickson. She married Daniel Lamar Culverson, and they made Bainbridge their home in 1981. Joan “kept the books” for Mr. Culverson for many years ensuring things ran as smoothly as possible. She was Lutheran by faith.
As a loving wife and mother, Joan provided a great example of family first. Her decisions centered around her husband and children. She often put their needs ahead of hers. Joan enjoyed cooking especially when all the seats at her table were filled with love and laughter from her family.
Survivors include her children, Diana Piornack of Valdosta, Connie Presilla, Danny Lamar Culverson (Charlene), and Donald Culverson (Patricia) all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Erica, Samantha, Melissa, Jamie, Janna, Tonya, Johnny, Amanda, Tiffany, and Daniel; her great-grandchildren, Callie, Kaylyn, Emilee, Caleb, Kevin, Lee, Bailey, Colton, Ayden, Allee, Aubree, Cole, Tanner, Bella, Logan and Lillie; her great-great-grandchildren, Luke, Legend, and Rhett; and her brother, Harry Bollerman of Hollywood, FL. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lamar Culverson, her sister, Linda, and her great-granddaughter, Audrey.
