Donald Philip Dollar, 70, of Climax, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Donald Philip Dollar was born January 28, 1955, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of George & Mildred Swicord Dollar. He was a graduate of Bainbridge Christian Academy and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance. Donald retired from the United States Air Force earning the rank E7. After returning to Climax, he transported precious cargo, young students in the Head Start program. Donald was Baptist by faith.
Donald was all about living life on his terms. He helped others in a variety of ways, often without anyone knowing. He served his community as a member of the Climax City Council and cheered the underdog at every opportunity. Donald was that guy that would try anything and master some things. (He never let you know if something got the best of him.) His dog, Tiger, was absolutely “man’s best friend.”
Survivors include his children, Patricia Dollar (Kelvin Davis), Jessica Josey (Jock), Philip Dollar, and Larry Scott; his grandchildren, Damien Scott, Xavier Scott, Alexandra Scott, Claudia Luevano, Victoria Dyson, and Diego Luevano; and his great-grandchildren, Tynlee Scott, Xander Scott, Jameson Birdsall, and Geovanni Dyson. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
