Brian Wesley Cox was born July 14, 1984, in Thomasville, GA, the son of Ricky Cox and Margaret Runnels Cook. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 2003. After high school, Brian decided to work in construction and drive semi-trucks. His time on the road lead to owning his own trucking company. Brian was Baptist by faith.
Riding the roads was not always at an easy speed or for work. Brian was known to race cars and certainly never backed down from a “fun” challenge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing games on his phone. Summer, Alisha & Brian, Jr. knew without a doubt where they stood with their daddy. Madison & Layton knew their little fingers is where they had Brian hooked.
Survivors include his children, Summer Marie Godwin, Alisha Cox, and Brian Wesley Cox, Jr.; his grandchildren, Madison & Layton; his parents; his siblings, Chris Cox, Wendy Hoose, and Chasity Drummer; his grandparents, Betty Runnels and Robert Kelley; and numerous nieces & nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clayton Cox, Eula Ellen Kelley, and Tom Runnels.
Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
