Shirakiku brand Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack Sea Salt & Umami and Corn Potage Flavors recalled due to undeclared milk

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, CA is expanding its January 17, 2025 recall of 2.46 oz packages of Shirakiku brand Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack Curry Flavor. The expansion now includes two additional flavors; Sea Salt & Umami Flavor and Corn Potage Flavor. The product contains the undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume those products.

The product was distributed nationwide in AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI through retail stores, restaurants, online business. The product was also exported to Mexico and Peru.

The product is packaged in a 2.46 oz flexible bag. The UPC for the product is located on the back right side of the product package. This issue affected all lot codes or date codes.

The recall was initiated after discovering that the product contained an undeclared allergen (milk). The last distribution of the product in the marketplace was on January 10, 2025.

Rural King and Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasoning recalled due to undeclared soy

TS Food Packaging is recalling its “Rural King” and “Wabash Valley Farms” Bacon Seasoning due to the presence of an undeclared soy ingredient. People who have allergies to products containing soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.

The recalled “Bacon Seasonings” were distributed nationwide via E-commerce and retail stores.

The product is packaged in 4.2 oz plastic jars with lot numbers 17324s,27824s, and 30324s, along with 1oz sample gift packets marked with lot numbers 16524SP, 16624SP, 23424SP, 26324SP, 26424SP, 26724SP, 20624S, 20724S.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered via a manufacturing quality verification that the soy containing ingredient was a substitute provided by a supplier without notification of the presence of Soy. Subsequent investigation indicated the problem was caused by a substitution review process gap between the supplier and their customer base, corrective actions are in place to prevent recurrence.

Consumers who have purchased Rural King or Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasonings packages are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. La Fiesta unseasoned and seasoned bread crumbs recalled due to undeclared sesame

La Fiesta Food Products, LLC, La Mirada, CA is recalling 8 oz packages of La Fiesta brand Unseasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado) and Seasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado Sazonado). The products contain sesame as an undeclared allergen. Additionally, the labels do not include the allergen declaration in Spanish.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The impacted products are identified below:

La Fiesta brand Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado) 8oz UPC#032327000886 – Lot codes 26032; 26073; 26082; 26092; 26094; 26,400 sold nationwide through distributors to retail stores from April 10, 2024 through January 22, 2025.


 

La Fiesta brand Bread Crumbs Seasoned (Pan Rayado Sazonado) 8oz UPC#032327000887 – Lot codes 26094; 26123; 6,240 sold nationwide through distributors to retail stores from August 29, 2024 through January 22, 2025.

The lot code can be found stamped on the front of the package.

The product is packaged in 8 oz transparent plastic bags with an attached printed label.

The recall was initiated after discovering that the product contained undeclared sesame. Further investigation revealed that the issue was caused by errors on the product labeling.

Consumers who have purchased the products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
