Building Expansion & Renovation Dedication
Bainbridge, GA— April 10, 2023 —The public is invited to the celebrate the ribbon cutting and the building expansion & renovation dedication at The Salvation Army Bainbridge Service Center located at 600 S. Scott Street on Wednesday, April 26th, at 10:00 AM.
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The current facility, built in 1992, has served as a beacon of hope to many during times of crisis, unexpected woe, and disaster. Countless volunteer hours and donor dollars have been invested to ensure “Doing the Most Good” continues to happen in our community and the surrounding areas. With renovation plans in the works, the COVID-19 pandemic affirmed the need to expand in order to respond to food insecurities in our community.
Just shy of the one-year mark since groundbreaking on May 19, 2022, The Salvation Army Bainbridge Service Center will host the dedication ceremony honoring those in our community who give selflessly of their time, talents, and finances, as well as remembering those who started with a vision. Attendees are encouraged to tour the facility immediately following the ceremony.
