Ed was a man of many interests. He loved everything from music to NASCAR. He was once a licensed pilot and continued to enjoy flying with model airplanes. Fast cars captivated him, and the checkered flag brought a rush of adrenaline even when he was just watching from home. Ed played the guitar and often stepped back into memories of days gone by especially with the family he loved so dearly.
Survivors include his children, Edward E. McCain, Jr. (Christine) of California, Joy Mize of Manistique, MI, Christopher E. McCain of Virginia, Timothy B. McCain (Kelsey), Miranda Walden, and McCall Burney (Terrie) all of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Joshua, Cailey, Joseph, Kristen, Daniel, Maggie, Will, Jaxon, Myles, Nova, and Camille; his great-grandchildren, Piper and Riley; and his sister, Betty Bentoski. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Harper McCain, and his sister, Rosemary Davis.
