Dalton James Harrell was born May 5, 2000, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Bobby & Jennifer Stephens Harrell. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 2018. Dalton earned associate degrees from Andrew College in Health Science and Athletic Training. He was a junior at FAMU pursuing a degree in Health Science where he was also a Saturday pitcher for the Rattlers. Dalton attended Advent Christian Church and Attapulgus Baptist Church.
A fierce competitor with a heart of gold, Dalt Dalt played to win. He was a well-respected leader on and off the ball field. Coaches often used him as an example of a true team player. Dalton never left his wing man. If you had to run, for whatever reason, he would run with you. He has been described as “a lover & a fighter”, “the glue that holds us together” and “the life of the party”. His heart for others and that mischievous smile made it easy to be his friend…and if you made the cut, it was forever. Besides baseball, Dalton loved to hunt, fish, hang out with his friends, and sing a little karaoke. He would dance like no one was watching and make you laugh until you cried. His legacy will be to love BIG and laugh often.
Survivors include his parents; his brother, Colton Harrell; the love of his life, Macey Moye; his grandparents, Charles & Thelma Harrell and Diane & Greg Powell; his great-grandmother, Flora Nell Hughes; his uncles & aunt, Chas & Cheryl Harrell, Michael Stephens, Lance Powell, and Ryan Powell; his special cousins, Bud Harrell, Emily Harrell, Madison Harrell, and Carson Harrell; and a host of extended family, some blood related and others by choice. Dalton was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Stephens, and his great-grandparents, Murry Hughes and William & Florence Gillespie.
