On Friday, May 21, 2021, in the early morning hours, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Investigator (Inv.) Vincent Edmond was on duty and located in Decatur County, Georgia. Inv. Edmond was actively working an Aggravated Assault case, involving a gun and shots fired into a residence, that had occurred on the Westside of Bainbridge, Georgia. Inv. Edmond had E-911 run the gun’s information and it returned stolen, reported from the Dothan Police Department in Dothan, Alabama.

On May 22, 2021, at approximately 0337 hours, Decatur County Deputies were dispatched to a Vehicle Accident, on Old Whigham Road, just east of L.E. Rackley Road. While in route, Deputies were advised by E-911 that the vehicle involved in the accident was reported stolen out of Grady County.
