On Saturday, September 28, 2019, Investigator Vincent Edmond was on duty and located at the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. Investigator Edmond was monitoring E-911 radio traffic and heard a dispatch of a Domestic dispute, that was occurring on Broughton Street, in the city of Bainbridge. Investigator Edmond listened further and heard that the male offender had taken the female victim assumedly against her will in a burgundy truck. E-911 advised Decatur County deputies that his truck was possibly headed out in the county to an address on County Line Road. Jordan Massey was placed under arrest and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On September 18, 2019, at approximately 2318 hours, B.P.S. Officer J. Barlow responded to a rolling Domestic on Spring Creek Road. Officer Barlow and Sgt. Glover made contact with the offender walking down Spring Creek Road at Butler Ferry Road. Officer Barlow transported the offender, Lamond Anthony Campbell, to the front parking lot of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. King, along with the victim, met Officer Barlow in the parking lot. Sgt. King placed Campbell under arrest and transported to Decatur County Jail without Incident.

On October 3, 2019, at approximately 0012 hours, Deputy Dustin Strickland and Sgt. Charles King were running radar on Highway 97 south at mile marker 15. While Deputy Strickland and Sgt. King were running radar, Sgt. King clocked the offender, Nicholas Culp, driving at the speed of 81 MPH in a zone of 55 MPH. Deputy Strickland turned on his emergency lights initiating a traffic stop. Culp, in his 2004 silver in color Impala, did not stop immediately; however, Culp decreased his speed to approximately 35 MPH approaching A&A convenience store located on Highway 97 South. Culp used his right turn signal indicating he was going into the A&A store, but Culp then initiated his hazard lights and continued to drive but did not increase his speed. At this time, Deputy Strickland notified Decatur/Grady 911 that Culp was not stopping. After Culp finally stopped his vehicle, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On October 12, 2019, at approximately 0828 hours, Deputy Jordan Phillips initiated a traffic stop on a gray 2013 Chrysler 200, on Spring Creek Road, just south of Bennett Rentz Road, due to failure to maintain lane. Deputy Phillips says that while he was talking to Hutchinson about the traffic violation Hutchinson handed him a bookbag. Deputy Phillips says he discovered that the bookbag contained several different kinds of illegal drugs and Deputy Phillips placed Hutchinson under arrest.

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 0133 hours, Sgt. Michael Musgrove was checking Swanwall Missionary Baptist Church. Sgt. Musgrove located a door on the West side of the building that was force opened. Sgt. Musgrove and Deputy Austin Spence cleared the church. Sgt. Musgrove contacted on-call investigator Vincent Edmonds.

While in route, dispatch advised units that a white male wearing a blue tank top was chasing another male with an axe.
