Vennie Jeanette “Brownie” Cloud was born July 21, 1934 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Noah and Florrie King Cloud. She graduated from West Bainbridge High School. “Brownie” married Willard “Preacher” Wimberly and they made their home in Decatur County. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

“Brownie” was all about family. She spent her days taking care of their needs and making sure her grandchildren didn’t want for a thing. She loved westerns and almost wore out her television watching reruns of her favorites. “Brownie” was a fabulous cook and when asked about her best dish the answer was always, “She could cook anything.” The star in her crown came from raising Preacher Wimberly’s sons.

Survivors include her son, Mike Wimberly; her brother, Bobby Cloud and his wife, Lanelle; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Wimberly; her grandchildren, Will, Jean, Ashley, Amanda and Aaron; and her ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, “Brownie” was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Preacher” Wimberly; her son, Randy Wimberly; her siblings, Bennie Cloud, Margaret Jackson, Myrtice Valentine, Mildred Jackson and Willis Cloud; and her great-granddaughter, Hazel Wimberly.
