Decatur County Board of Commissioners Accepting Applications for Firefighter

The Decatur County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for the position of Firefighter.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Performing emergency response work in firefighting and emergency rescue, operating various firefighting and emergency apparatus and equipment, and performing other duties as required.

Experience is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma/GED and a valid Georgia driver’s license. A pre-employment background check and drug test are required.

The successful applicant will be required to attain State of Georgia Firefighter I certification within one year from the date of hire.
