Greg Murray – County Commissioner District 5

 
District 5 covers southwestern Decatur County, Lake Seminole area.
 
Gregory B. Murray is a native of Decatur County. He is a semi-retired farmer and works for a farm products company in Bainbridge. Commissioner Murray is a member of Sylvania Methodist Church, serves on the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint Stakeholder Committee, the Decatur County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and has previously served as county president and chairman of the state vegetable committee. He is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in agricultural equipment technology.
 
Commission Murray and his wife, Joyce, live in the Faceville community. They have two daughters, Cathy Willis and Shelia McClendon, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His interests are racing, boating, motorcycling, reading, studying water issues and tinkering in his shop.
