June 17, 1943 – February 17, 2021 

Rebecca Lynell Faircloth, 77, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

A private graveside funeral service will be held at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Rebecca Lynell Whitfield was born June 17, 1943 in Pelham, GA. She attended Pelham High School and worked in the Admissions Office of Bainbridge College. Lynell was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher at both Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Delwood Baptist Church over the years.

Lynell married Kenneth in 1959 and as they say, “The rest is history.” Family was the most valuable treasure to her, and Lynell had a way of making every person feel special. She always kept in touch with extended family and loved a gathering. Her favorites were during the holidays. Lynell hosted hundreds of Christmas parties over the years and those memories will be forever cherished. She dressed to the nines every day with hair, makeup, and fashion on point. Lynell leaves a legacy of love living her life as an example of “loving the Lord with all your heart, mind, and strength”.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Faircloth; her sons, Craig Faircloth and his wife, Debbie, and Mark Faircloth and his wife, Deon, all of Bainbridge; her daughter-in-law, June Faircloth; her brother, Randall Whitfield and his wife, Karen, of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Jeremy & Ashley, Casey & Heidi, Christina, Michelle & Brent, Miranda & Jamie, and Melissa & Rick; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Caroline, Catie, Chloe, Toby, Ella, Chloe, Mary Claire, Adliegh, Hayden, and Avery. Lynell was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Whitfield, Virginia Anderson Whitfield Butler, and Jack Butler; her son, Jeff Faircloth; and her grandson, Dylan Reid Faircloth.

  1. “Miss” Lynell will always be remembered as a classy, southern lady to me! Love and prayers to Mr Kenneth, Craig, Jeff and all of your families! So sorry for your loss, I know she will be missed by all. I will remember her with that always perfect blonde shag, makeup on point and a double knit suit(1970’s style)❤️🙏
