Kenneth Roy Harrison was born May 14, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Roy Edward Harrison and Gladys Josey Harrison. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969. Kenny retired from Georgia Power and was an active member of Climax Baptist Church.

For many in our community, Kenny Harrison was “the Georgia Power guy” that kept the lights on from the church house to BikeFest. He had a kind, gentle spirit and never seemed to be ruffled by the “issues” at hand. Living out his faith as the hands and feet of Jesus was his daily routine. Kenny thought of others first, never counted the personal cost of helping someone in need, and always had a smile on his face. His words of encouragement and tender ways were evidence of the quiet disciple he was.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ginger Wilson Harrison; his daughter, Dawn Harrison of Climax, GA; his “daughter” Joanna Henderson and her husband, Chad, of Alto, GA; his “grandchildren”, Kenneth & Eva Henderson; his siblings, Jackie & Buck Rhyner of Bainbridge, GA, Wendell Harrison of Wrightsville, CA, Karol & Joe Butler of Bainbridge, GA, Gayle & Randy Landrum of Bainbridge, GA, Paula Parker of Dallas, GA, Keith & Tiffany Harrison of Dallas, TX, June & Jim Lugo of Royston, GA, Kendall & Charlotte Wilson of Whigham, GA, and Rileen & Greg Blair of Havana, FL; his mother-in-love, Laverne Wilson; and his many nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Riley Wilson.
