James Leroy Ward, Jr. was born October 30, 1957 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of J.L. Ward and JudyParker Ward. He was a graduate of Lively Vo-Tech in Tallahassee, FL and owned Jimmy’s Auto Sales since 1992. Jimmy was a member of Beulah Thomas Baptist Church.

Just about everywhere you go in southwest GA, someone in the crowd knows Jimmy Ward. He loved his family, his customers and his community. Jimmy helped folks that no one ever knew about because that’s just what he did. He was a sucker for anything fast and never turned down an opportunity to race…cars, trucks, boats (first Evinrude boat to win in Panama City), motorcycles, three-wheelers, and probably bicycles early on. And when he wasn’t racing, he was watching racing. His favorite NASCAR driver was “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville”. Jimmy practiced his boating skills on the Flint River, which he knew like the back of his hand, and even dropped a ski back in the day. He enjoyed watching Food Network and planning for the next gathering. Always full of bull with plenty of stories to tell.

Survivors include fiancé, Cindy Bullington of Bainbridge, GA; his son, James L. Ward III & Robbi of Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Judy Parker Ward of Tallahassee, FL; his brother Joe Ward and his wife, Margie, also of Tallahassee, FL; his granddaughter, Leighanna; his aunt, Gerrie Ward; and his very special friends that were like his children, Bryan & Leanne Hall. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Ward, Sr.; and his uncle, Richard Parker.
