City of Bainbridge Operational Changes Effective April 6, 2020

In the interest of public health and safety and due to an abundance of caution in the face of the Coronavirus -19 Pandemic, all City of Bainbridge offices will remain temporarily closed beginning April 6 through April 13, 2020.

Employees of the Public Safety and Sanitation Departments are considered essential front line employees and will be reporting to work. Residential and commercial trash pickup will be uninterrupted. Employees of the utilities, public works, and parks departments will remain at home beginning April 6, 2020 as they cannot maintain a consistent 6 foot social distance and complete their required tasks. During normal business hours, we can still be reached at (229) 248-2000. Should you have an after hours emergency, please use the appropriate department on call number listed below:

• Public Safety: Call 911 in the event of an emergency and (229) 248-2038 for a nonemergency.

• Water Department Afterhours: (229) 726-6227

• Sewer Department Afterhours: (229) 515-0415

• Natural Gas Afterhours: (229) 515-0173

• Parks Department Afterhours: (229) 726-9582

• Streets Department Afterhours: (229) 515-0231

Employees in the Community Development and Administrative Services Divisions will remain working remotely as well as safely performing duties inside of City Hall.

The City of Bainbridge continues to monitor the current COVID-19 pandemic and maintain communication with Decatur County Emergency Management, Georgia Department of Public Health and the United States Center for Disease Control.
