Sarah Frances Baxter

Mrs. Sarah Frances Baxter, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Baxter will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 30, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Pastor Edward Seabrooks will officiate. Mrs. Baxter will be interred in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Stephen Eakin, Ron Howard, Michael Howard, Austin Howard, Charles King, and Logan Toliver will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00.

Sarah was born January 20, 1934 in Seminole County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, William Oscar Johnson, and mother, Mandy Irene Lynn Johnson. Sarah was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved being in church.

Sarah Baxter is survived by her children, Marsha Brewer and husband, Kenny of Bainbridge and William Cheyenne Pinion and wife, Vivian of Iron City, Georgia; son-in-law, Roy Howard; brothers, Allen Lamar Johnson of Bainbridge and Calvin Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Ann Marcine Howard and Maxine Eakin.

Donations in honor of Mrs. Baxter may be made to the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 247, Bainbridge, Georgia 39818.
