Pamela Joyce Lott was born August 12, 1955 in Tampa, FL, the daughter of Jim and Pansy Cooke Lott. She graduated from Dougherty County High School and earned degrees from Darton College, Georgia Southwestern and the University of Georgia. Pam lived in Lilburn, GA moving to Bainbridge in 2000 where she began her tenure with Decatur County Schools. She was the principal of Elcan-King Elementary School until her retirement. Pam was a member of Climax Baptist Church.

Pam was kind and compassionate with a dash of “no non-sense”. She loved her students and staff and often took extra time to pour into their lives. Pam was strong in her faith and lived it daily.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Carl Lunsford; her daughters, Jennifer L. Peterson, and her husband, Robbie, of Cairo, GA and Joy L. Davis, and her husband, Gary, of Alpheretta, GA; her brother Rick Lott, and his wife, Marsha, of Rincon, GA; her mother, Pansy Lott; and her grandchildren, Thomas & Cory Davis, and Kinley, Kyley, and Brantley Peterson. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Jim Lott.

  1. Will always remember my years at EKE with Mrs. Lunsford & Mr. Carl cooking for the adults on Field Days. Also had the privilege of teaching her wonderful grandson, Thomas, who I remember fondly!!
