Deborah Cheryl Long

Ms. Deborah Cheryl Long, age 60, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. A Celebration of Life honoring Deborah will be announced later.

Deborah Cheryl Long was born November 6, 1958, in Bainbridge Georgia, to William Custer Long and Margaret Mae Knight Long. Deborah worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She had a heart of gold. She was always available for her friends and family, ready to help in any way she could. Deborah loved animals; she has even owned a monkey. She loved to fish. Mostly, she was all about family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, and excellent Mom. Deborah Long will be deeply missed by the family and the friends she loved as very much.

Deborah is survived by her son, Jeffery Long of Tucson, Arizona; her sibling, Martha Blackburn (Lynwood) of Quincy, Florida, Diane Salter (Weyman) of Albany, Georgia, Charles Long (Tina) of Dothan, Kay Spriggs (Bobby) of Dothan, Wendell Long (Nita) of Newton, Georgia, Karen Davis (Jack) of Bainbridge, Donna Long of Bainbridge, and Marilyn Kempton (Gene) of Newton; numerous nieces and nephews; and her friend for 40 years, Mable Byrd of Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth Long and Truett Long, Sr.
