Attempted armed robbery at PeoplesSouth Bank

Update 4:15PM

Patrick Lon Keating, 23, of a Tallahassee address and Michelle Nicole Singh, 20, of a
Tallahassee address were arrested this afternoon by Bainbridge Public Safety for the Armed Robbery (Felony) of PeoplesSouth Bank located at 1449 Tallahassee Highway.  The robbery occurred this morning around 8:45AM, shortly after the bank opened.  Keating has also been tied to the Armed Robbery of Synovus Bank in Thomasville which took place on January 12th.

Keating and Singh were transported to the Decatur County Jail, and are being held until bond is set by the judge.

UPDATE 12:30PM: The male suspect has been connected to the Synovus Bank robbery that took place on Saturday, January 12 in Thomasville.

Original Story
On Thursday morning a male suspect entered PeoplesSouth Bank and demanded money, mentioning something about shooting but never showed a firearm.

It is unknown at this time how much money the suspect stole, if any. The suspect ran out of the back entrance and jumped in a car driven by a female suspect.

An employee ran out of the front entrance as Officer Terry Pait was traveling on Hwy 27. Officer Pait was able to stop the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Douglas Drive and Hwy 27.

The male suspect was attempting to hide in the trunk of the vehicle. Both suspects have been apprehended and are in investigative custody.
