Re: What were they thinking?

Is it possible for the shelter to get a few security cameras to see who is dropping off these animals? If it is against the law, that would help to prosecute. Also, I have heard that in bigger cities, spaying and neutering are offered for low fees or even free at certain times of the year. We need to control the amount of unwanted puppies and kittens. I am an animal lover, but I believe the population needs to be controlled.

If you think the roads of Connell Drive, Heritage Circle and King Thomas Drive are bad water problems, you should ride down Lane Powell Road.

Is it too much to ask?

Is it too much to ask for parents to supervise their young children as they stand beside a busy street awaiting the school bus?

To the parents on North Sims Street between Broughton and Water, pay attention to your young child. It is not proper for the young man to dance his way into the road in front of my 2 ton SUV only to get a laugh out of his little friends. Yes, I said dance his way into the street! Purely intentional display of his parents and their apathetic parenting style, if you ask me. Parenting is not optional- get with the program. Your son would be killed had I not been able to brake - and some folks in this town would not have slammed on their brakes for the risk of spilling their coffee.

Shame on you!

Hi Everyone: The animal shelter needs towels, sheets, blankets, rugs, old T-shirts for the animals. They are completely out! Please help us out. Just drop anything like this off at the shelter. They would be eternally grateful.

Drainage in Bainbridge

Category: General Comments — Larry @ 8:39 pm

Although I have been a resident in Bainbridge for the past 20-something years, I was oddly shocked to see the drainage problem after Friday night’s storm.  I just recently moved onto Monroe Street across the street from the library, and I have not had a problem thus far.  But within 30 minutes of the storm, our entire yard, not to mention our neighbors’ yards, was completely flooded.

Not that this was your typical rainstorm flood, but to our surprise, our street was under a foot of water.  This is a shock to me seeing as how this is a well-used street, not only for the library, but for many residents who live here.  Our neighbor could not even see where her driveway began.  I think this is a major problem.  Where is the drainage?  Does our city not have the funds to create the drainage for an important street as this?  Or any for that matter?

God watches….

To the young men throwing coins at the older man in the mall parking lot near Taco Bell, refer to the title of this post. The fact that someone would pick up the spare change that idiots were throwing at him screams volumes about how much he was in need.

To the young ladies with the above idiots, who walked over and placed change in the hands of the same man, see the title of this post. Thank you for not further humiliating him.
And why don’t you find a better class of people to hang out with, since you are obviously much higher on the evolutionary scale than those cavemen you were with (previous statement withdrawn as the comparison insults cavemen).

Where do you turn when the law can’t help?

Recently I’ve lost my job at a local restaurant here in town. I job that I loved and did well at. I was fired after 9 months of work…I had not a single write up or miss conduct form issued to me the entire 9 months, However I was given 3 different raises and a promotion to Day Manager. This might sound like just another rant about the current government or unfairness but what if on your pink slip the only reasons that were giving to you were…1.) Missed a spot on the floor when mopped, 2.) Closed early by 8 minutes, and 3.) Theft in the amount of zero dollars!….(Zero Dollars).
