I would like to say thank you to LIVE 101.9 and all the others that made Christmas a Christmas to remember for all the families that received the gifts donated from the people and merchants in the surounding counties.
I myself made several donations and it made me be able to enjoy my Christmas even more knowing I had helped someone else. It seems to be growing more and more each year. THANKS TO ALL!!!

At this most special time of the year I hope that we will all stop and reflect on the many blessings that we share. For me these include a wonderful family, an abundance of food and other comforts, living in a wonderful small town with not nearly as many problems as some would have us believe and the freedom to express my thoughts and worship my lord and savior in the manner of my choosing and without fear of harassment or persecution. It truly is a wonderful life! I hope that each of you will have a very Merry Christmas!!

If a permit was issued for 3 days then who and why were the Nuttings asked to remove the Nativity Scene. I respect other religions and I certainly don’t go around protesting them. We celebrate Presidents birthdays, Martin Luther Kings birthday and I enjoy all of them. Why can’t we celebrate Jesus’s birthday if we want to? If you don’t want to then go your merry way and don’t, but don’t stop others from having a little joy and happiness once a year.

The family and I stopped by Wal-Mart Monday night and found out that Charles Grant was there. (Article Here) Charles played for the University of Georgia, and currently plays for the New Orlean Saints. I am a big Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan and the Bucs & Saints play in the same division. I just so happened to have my Bucs t-shirt on and was going to point at it if I got a chance to see Charles.

12.18.07…..I haven’t talk with him, Coach Ricky Woods, yet, but I’ve heard from other trusted folks of his new coaching challenge at Northwest Community College in Senatobia, MS.
I sure hope the Bearcats will continue the preparation in this offseason just as though he were still there. The last thing he would want is for any team member to miss preparation for a successful upcoming season.
I know he had the offers of many, many high schools and turned them down to be with you. Further, he’s got a shot to coach in the college level, a tough community college level!! Best wishes for the Bearcats as a new head coach is chosen. The bar has been set for you and I believe the community and school will rally. And, I will be your Batesville connection….

It’s Christmas for goodness sake. Where are the Christmas Lights?
I have lived in Bainbridge for over 30 years, and during the Christmas season it’s the same old decorations year after year.
The same old gaudy Santa Claus in Willis Park, the same old greenery with red bows. (Oh, I forgot, we do have some new decorations this year, even though the lights are burned out of half of them).
What is wrong with placing lights around the gazebo? Who makes this decision? Shouldn’t the citizens of Bainbridge be allowed to have a beautiful place during the Christmas Season that we can be proud of? Or do we have to stick to the “tradition” of the way it has always been?

All I can say is, CONGRATULATIONS!! to all the law enforment officers who took part in keeping our little part of the state and county a little safer with all the drugs, etc removed. I, for one, am very proud of all our public safety employees and I don’t think they get the pat on the back they so deserve.

Comment RE Article on Juvenile Armed Robbery
There has been problems, but trying to get help in the state of GA for a juvenile is unbelievable. They have to try to commit suicide or try to harm another person before the state hospitals will help them
I believe the question should be asked what is our tax dollars doing for troubled teens.
Where do you go for help?
Everyone should ask themselves what would you do or where could you go for help for your teen?

My husband and I have been putting our camper down at the boat basin for years now. Today for the first time someone throwed a brick thru the window of our RV. We called the law down there to check things out.
We were told that earlier in the day another camper had been broken into. You would think that if that was the case they would have been patroling the area to try and find the person or people responsible for this.

A little white kitten with a big red bow is oh so precious, but not necessarily a good idea. Owning a pet is a long-term responsibility that should be carefully considered. Kittens and puppies are soon grown cats and dogs. The recipient should be fully involved in selection and certain he or she is ready for the commitment. Not every gift pet story has a happy ending. Sometimes, a snuggly stuffed animal is a better idea.

12.1.07….I was so hopeful the Bearcats would be able to run the table; alas, the Tucker team took advantage of some gifts and posted a deceptive 34-7 win. Congratulations! for a fine season with coach Woods and staff. You better believe improvement in the off season is in the works, even now! Champions are made in the off season. I’ve seen this for years. So, get with it Bearcats! You’ll be glad you did. Your Batesville connection…..
