Vandalized
Has anyone’s things been vandalized in the last week or so, in town?
Has anyone’s things been vandalized in the last week or so, in town?
Ever just had one of those days? When everything is just grand, but then you realize things arent perfect. Things are not near as bad as they could be. Well today I took a look at JESTER / (me). Have I been the same person during bad times as I have during the good? Have I always give people a fair chance? Not just every day, but on often occasions. Then I read some of my post. This is more than opinions this is my (our) character that we represent. I long to be consistant as well as a good person. I met someone today for the first time that Ive been pretty hard on, and realized I was wrong about some of my post. Ive been a little hard on some folks I dont know their situation and why they believe as strong as they do. So I ask all of you please allow me another chance to represent myself. A second chance if you may. After all we all want to change the community, but if we bump heads and dissagree on what to do to fix it then the devil has won. This should be a freindly place so I will do my effort to keep it that way.
I just wanted to take a minute to give my condolences to the family of Capt. Jimmy Bellflower of the Decatur County Fire Department. This man worked hard for over 20 years to help protect and serve the citizens of Decatur County and he was d@*n good at it.
He risked his life everytime he went to work and this county is going to miss him greatly. People don’t always appreciate the people who are in this line of work. Police officers, firefighters and Paramedics are all underpaid but yet they still show up to work to help protect and serve the people of this county. And believe me they don’t go to work because the money is great, they go to work because they love their jobs and they truly believe they can make a difference.
Capt. Bellflower was a respected and very loving man who loved the job he did and did it well. All the times that I have ever come in contact with him he was nothing but friendly and caring to the people in his care. Our county was lucky to have him, and the county has lost a hero. I send sincere condolences to his family from mine.
Although his “Last Alarm” has sounded he has touched, saved and protected many lives while on this earth. I am proud to have known him and I know many more people feel the same. God Bless you “Captain”! You will be greatly missed.
Ok, I’ve been quite for a while, just trying to see if perhaps my opinions in the past may have given the commisioners the urge to deal with the problems within the county.
I sense that it has not, without constant prodding we seem to have slipped back into the same ruts and same old daily bumbling.
Since we recieved Bumbling Jim’s resignation, he has cost us even more money, and he did it by bypassing the very rules and devices put in place to prevent it. What is worse, according to the treasurer, the chairman of our commision told him to write the check in spite of his objections that it hadn’t been through the proper bid procedure or had the approval of the commision.

Some people need to lighten up and learn to laugh. If there is one thing that Talkbainbrige has reinforced something that I already knew and it is that people do not view things the same. People are passionate about what they believe–be it fact or fiction. OUR PERCEPTION IS OUR REALITY. In my reality—-I laugh a lot. Life is too short to be so serious. I know when to be serious and when to be silly. Look at some of the insects, birds, people God has created—He has to have a sense of humor.
I was reading the different newspapers that have internet websites. Many Times folks read a story or news item because the Headline cathches their attention. Sometimes the Headlines do point out the irony of a situation. One of these headlines specifically illustrate my point. it literally read:
“Police Kill Man Attempting To Commit Sucide.” LOL!!! My favorite of all time to this point was on one of these “tabloid” papers. You know the kind, always finding Elvis hiding out in some one’s backyard. It read with a headline and a picture of country boys around a shinny disc holding shotguns:
“Redknecks Shoot Down Flying Saucer!” sometimes things are so silly and stupid you just got to read and watch it. Sort of like one of my favorite movies: “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.” I did not know Donny Asmond’s song “Puppy love” could devestate mutant Tomatoes on a killing spree! Hail, Hail, Rock N Roll!!!
I was in a certain fast food place,
and i had really never paid attention when my food was being made. But today i watched them. No one had on any gloves. How am i to know if they washed their hands? I know it is a chance you take when you go out. But i asked them why they didnt have to wear gloves? They said they have never been told they had to. I thought all eating establishments had to use food safety. I noticed one person that had a band-aide on there finger, i ask that i be refunded my money back. Is there certain eating establishments that dont have to follow food safety guide lines?
I was at the hospital today from about 1:00 till 9:00 tonight. My cousin who was pregnant give birth to a still born child. They knew that the chances were slim of survival, but it still hurt like a knife. I actually saw the child in support of the grandmother. It was heart wrenching.
I cried all the way home in shame. I actually couldnt wait to get home to my daughter. I realize that I will complain about little things in my life that are inconvinent or that I dissagree with. If we have the gift of children, THANK GOD for them. I am guilty of this, but we should all quit griping and complaining about things we go through as being parents. I put my dad through Hell, but I never understood why he kept on not only loving me, but going way over board. Tonight I saw why.Every thing I done was over taken by the one gift that we can never buy “A CHILD”. This might be just for me, but some may read this and realize that they could be more gratefull of their children. For Gods sake if you think that being a parent is too much, or you dont want to raise children in fear of “unruly” kids, I bet I know people who would gladly take your place. I myself would gladly take the unruly kids before I watched them become hopeless. If I sounded aggresive in the past when it comes to children, please…Forgive me. I humbly ask you do you have children, “THEN YOU ARE BLESSED”.
“Bainbridge City Council has approved a new sign ordinance which has eliminated the prohibition of neon signs.”
Now that they have destroyed a business, they decide to reverse the neon law. Tell this to the owner of the Blue Orchid restaurant!!!! What a load of crap this is! If I were the owner of the Blue Orchid, I would probably sue the
city. This is truely a shame.
Here is a good joke that describes how people we view as mean spirited can make us stronger and couragous. I shared this on the phone with a dear friend and Christian brother of mine, Father Guy Wilson, of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church here in Bainbridge. It goes like this:

According to election officials 25.6 % of the registered voters in Decatur County participated in Tuesdays primary. I repeat, 25.6 % of the voters in Decatur County bothered to vote Tuesday. Based on this fact I guess we can assume that all is well with the government in Decatur County and nothing needs to be changed. It was written, ” government will only be as corrupt as the citizens allow it to be “. As the kids are now saying, True That !!
What a slap in the face for the veterans who served and soldiers who gave their lives to preserve our freedom to choose our government. The 74.4 % of the people who couldn’t be bothered to vote now have the right to bend over and take it, with a smile !! Johnboy !
Larry, please hear me out…

This is hoping all of our citizens went and exercised their duty to vote. For those who did, I salute you.
For those who didn’t, reflect on the following points.
* If you don’t vote, you don’t have a voice.
* If you don’t vote, DON’T B—H!
* If you don’t vote, then how do you expect to see change?
* If you don’t vote, you allow the chicanary to continue.

“a voice that was heard on election day in Decatur County”
First off Im suprised my first post was left. But you hinted that I should “privitly” E-mail you. HAHA, your kidding right? According to your site, this is a Public opinionated talk site. So therefore, anything I say will be done in front of the pubic. Come on Larry, this sounds like you have something to hide. Are you a dictator? But Im curious why you delete these post. This is suposed to be a nuttoaral site. Why did the opinion of a respectable parent who felt that a drowning child and an ad for the City pool shouldnt be inches apart. Maybe I should ask you so all the people that support this site will see who you are. Where is your values? Why wont you let everyone be heard even the ones who dissagree with you? So I’m sure you will delete this possibly kick me out, and or close the threads to adress this post. But I dont stand alone. If you ban me, I will register under another name. But I and other chosen few aint scared of being banned. The truth will be heard.
I say this the true OPINIONS will be heard one way or another.
It’s 1 am. Sunday night.
Where are your kids? Are they asleep in bed like good kids?
DO YOU KNOW?
Have you looked?
Or are they runing the streets trying to attract attention?
Are they just leaving the skating rink?
Does the skating rink not care about these kids? I know where I grew up, the owners would have called our parents if we had our butts hanging out. They cared. We were safe there. (OH the fond safe memories!)
I’m not stepping on toes I hope!
OH! It’s summer you said? HOGWASH!
When you get the not so sweet suprise of a grandchild when the “mother” is only 14, what do you expect.
If the police started calling the parents of the kids running the streets at night, I bet a lot less kids would be out. IF IF IF grandma was called at 1 am, had to come get little 14 year old Suzy. (Suzy was out running the street with half her butt hanging out of her shorts, after curfew) She would get tired of it after a while and try to see where Suzy is. If not let DFCS take care of SUZY. She just might be better off in the end.
Is there not a curfew here? Good Lord there needs to be one! It needs to be enforced.
POLICE…… DO YOUR JOB! Bug these irresponsible parents. If it were MY child, I would want the phone call! It would not be a good night for MY child!
OH! OH! OH! Sorry, I taught my kids standards, and values.
If you don’t respect yourself, how do you expect others to?
