Captain Robert Humphrey met with Eurkie McLemore at the Bainbridge Public Safety to file a police report about neglect to her mother (Annie McLemore). Eurkie stated that her 92 year mother had been a client in the Bainbridge Memorial Hospital Manor since September 9, 2000. She stated that her mother has not received proper health care since she had been there. Eurkie McLemore stated some of the problems were about the heat being too high in the room and her oxygen tube being located under her mother while in the bed.

Ms. McLemore said she had made numerous complaints about the conditions to staff who are responsible for providing health care for her mother and nothing has been done to correct the problems.  Captain Humphrey advised Ms. McLemore to make a written complaint to the director of the Manor and Hospital to assist her in taking care of her mother.

At about 5:45 pm, Public Safety Cpl Craig Carr responded to E. Broughton Street in reference to someone getting hit with a baseball bat.  Linda Friesen stated that Tashika Williams hit her in the face causing a tooth to fall out.  She told the officer it all started over her small dog chasing Shanon's 6 year old son into the front yard.

The 6 year old had knocked at Linda's door and when she opened it, the small dog chased the 6 year old into the front yard.  His mother, Shanon, then came over upset that she had siced her dog on her 6 year old.  Linda said she did not sic the dog on him.  Tashika Williams then yelled from next door Linda Friesen did sic the dog on him and an exchange of you liar and you liar and your lying and your lying occurred.

Linda said that Tashika came in her yard and started fussing with her. Linda said that Tashika hit her in her face with her hand and knocked her tooth out. Linda said that she went inside her residence and got a pink aluminum softball bat and came back outside and told Tashika to get the hell out of her yard. Linda said that Tashika grabbed the bat from her and hit her on the legs several times.

A witness reported the 6 year old ran out in front of her car away from the dog.  The witness also reported she heard Linda sic the dog on the 6 year old.  She stated Linda hit Tashika and Tashika hit her back. Sherry was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

James Hodge told officers that he was in the kitchen in front of the stove and Sherry Ann Johnson came at him with a sledge hammer trying to hit him.  James said that he pulled his pocket knife out and stuck Sherry to keep her from hitting him with the sledge hammer.  Sherry then walked through the living room, dropped the sledge hammer and walked out the door.  Cpl Carr confiscated James Hodge's pocket knife with some blood on the blade and the sledge hammer laying on the living room floor.

At about 10 pm, State Trooper Walt Landrum made a traffic stop at 603 S. West Street.  He requested backup from Public Safety and Officers Gary Hines and Collin Hastey responded.  They arrived and observed Trooper Landrum repeated ordering a male to stand back as he was trying to approach the van.

The male was disrespectful and non-compliant towards Trooper Landrum and police presence in general.  Officers Hastey and Hines looked down on the ground beside the male, later identified as Johnny Henry, and saw a small baggie of marijuana.  Trooper Landrum and Officer Hastey attempted to handcuff Mr Henry and he resisted but they were able to place him in the rear of the patrol car.

The family members that had arrived at the residence since the traffic stop became belligerent and Officers had to warn the crowd to stay away from the patrol car.  Trooper Landrum opened the car to speak to Mr Henry and he began to slide towards the door and yell and curse.  Trooper Landrum had to push him back into the car and the crowd angrily began approaching the car.  Officer Hastey forcefully ordered the crowd to stay back several times.  The Officers transported Johnny Henry to the jail.

The crowd also went to the jail. In the jail lobby, they became disruptive and disrespectful and were asked to leave.  The crowd cursed the officers, left the lobby and went outside.  When Officer Hastey arrived outside, he saw a male struggling with Trooper Landrum.  Officer Hastey assisted and as they struggled, the crowd became more hostile.  A pulled taser convinced 24 year old Lamaine Lamont Henry to comply.  He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of a Police Officer.  Other Public Safety officers arrived on scene and the crowd calmed down.

The girlfriend told Cpl Knight that Conley, earlier that day, had choked her and hit her in the head (report states that Officer Knight observed a bruise on her head). Cpl Knight then spoke with Conley at his residence on Washington Street. March 1

911 dispatched Public Safety to a fast food restaurant. There the officer spoke with Frank Mobley who told him that someone was trying to kill him. Office Bryant noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Mobley. Mobley was told to wait while the officer spoke with restaurant employees but instead of waiting Mobley started running. He didn't get far and the officer told him to get to the ground. Mobley at first refused to comply but the officer drew his tazer and Mobley complied. Mobley was charged with public drunkeness and the officer also discovered Mobley had an outstanding warrant.
