It my be summer break but some Bainbridge High Air Force JROTC Cadets are using the time wisely. Recently, Colonel Breedlove took two of the cadets, Tiffany Blocker and Darren Good to Tallahassee, Florida. The EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association)Chapter 445 held a Young Eagles program for approximately 47 youth on June 21st.
Over the years the BHS JROTC and EAA Chapter 445 have grown a strong bond and Colonel Breedlove and cadets went to assist with the program. While they were there Cadets Blocker and Good were also able to take the opportunity to fly. Both not only got to fly twice but also each received a coved "right seat flight".
Tiffany Blocker (center) and another student preparing to fly with Dr. A. J. Bricker in his Cirrus SR-22 aircraft, the favorite of the six airplanes flying that day.
Dr. Bricker and Cadet Blocker may see each other again next month at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Annual “AirVenture” in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Cadet Blocker and Cadet Commander Jessica Merritt will be attending the Oshkosh Advanced Aviation Camp through Chapter 445 sponsorship and Dr. Bricker and two friends will be “flying in” to the AirVenture air show. These two events take place at the same time in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
