Bainbridge College (BC) offers area residents associate degrees and technical certificates in more than 60 areas of study, including Culinary Arts courses that lead to a Catering Specialist certificate as featured here. Culinary courses are part of the Technical Studies Division’s Career Certificate programs.
Early registration for Summer Term 2008 will be April 2-May 1 for returning students and May 29 for new students. Classes start May 31. Those interested in attending Fall Semester may enroll now and register in August. Classes start Aug. 20.

In the Arts and Sciences Division, Associate of Arts degree programs are designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university. Degrees are offered in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Education (including Early Childhood, Middle Grades, and Secondary), English, Foreign Languages, General Studies, Health and Physical Education, History, Mathematics, Music, Nursing (transfer to bachelor of science in nursing), Political Science, Psychology, Sciences, Sociology, and Speech.
In the Technical Studies Division, students may pursue Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (known as the ADN program) and Associate of Applied Science degrees in Accounting, Administrative Office Technology, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice Technology, Drafting Technology, Early Childhood Care and Education, Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Marketing and Management, Medical Assisting, and Medical Office Technology.
Technical Division Career Certificates are offered in Applied Marketing and Management, Business Office Technology, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice Technology, Drafting, Early Childhood Care and Education, Electrical/Electronics Maintenance, Film, Video and Stage Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Licensed Practical Nursing, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Technology, and Paralegal Studies.
Technical Certificates of Credit are offered in A+ CompTIA, Business Office Assistant, Carpentry Framing, Catering Specialist, Certified Customer Service Specialist, Certified Manufacturing Specialist, Certified Nursing Assisting, Child Development Associate I, CISCO Networking, Commercial Truck Driving, Drafting Aide, Early Childhood Care and Education, Electrical Wiring, Emergency Medical Technology—Basic, Emergency Medical Technology—Intermediate, Industrial Machining, Industrial Maintenance Technical I, Industrial Maintenance Technical II, Low Voltage/Security Technician, Medical Office Specialist, Microsoft Networking, Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS), Office Accounting Specialist, Phlebotomy Technician, Retail Management, Small Business Management, Stage Technology, Structural Welding, Turfgrass Maintenance Technician.
A unit of the University System of Georgia, BC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate of arts degree, the associate of science degree, the associate of applied science degree and certificates in technical programs.
Cooperative Programs:
The College also has cooperative programs with other members of the University System of Georgia through which bachelor’s degrees are offered. Programs at the BC Baccalaureate Center, which opened Fall Semester 2007 at 1304 East Evans St., are offered by Albany State University and by Georgia Southwestern State University.
ASU offers the bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and the bachelor of science in early childhood education. Georgia Southwestern offers bachelor of business administration degrees in accounting and in management.
