BPS Chief Investigator Frank Green explained that they received information from an out of state source stating the vehicle would be traveling from Alabama to Early County "with a large amount of currency".  Investigator Green contacted Early County Sheriff's Deputies and Georgia State Patrol who teamed up and sat in wait.

An investigative stop was made on the two vehicles on Highway 84 near Jakin, in Early County Georgia.  Georgia State Trooper Jaa Tucker, who handles Jake, the GSP's K9, was on scene.
