Bearcats Over Early Cnty 38-28

A 14 point deficit looked a bit tough but the Bainbridge Bearcats came back to take a 31-14 halftime lead.  Our line faced a large Early County defensive line through the night and handled them well.  Video of 1st half highlights begins with the 2 point conversion.

In the first quarter, Early County took a 6-0 lead.  We then gave them a short field with a dropped pitch and they quickly scored again.  With a 2 point conversion, Early County took a 14-0 lead with 3.40 left in the first.

We did little with the ball after the kickoff but our punt hit a Bobcat player and we recovered.  A 40 yard pass play gave us a touchdown.  The extra point brought us back to 7-14.

After holding Early County we took the ball over.  A couple of nice runs later, we scored with just under 11 minutes to go in the 2nd to tie it up 14-14.

Two plays later, the Bearcats recovered a fumble on their 21 yard line.  The Bearcats took the lead on a field goal 17-14 at about 8 minutes in the half.

Later in the half, a long run took the ball down to the 4 yard line.  Two plays later the Bearcats made it 24-14 with about 3 minutes left in the half.

After the defense forced an Early County punt, a long pass and run took the ball down to the 4 yard line.  A 4 yard run for the touchdown brought the score to 31-14. at the half.

Just under 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the Bearcats made it 38-14 which is where the score stood at the end of the quarter.  The Bobcats scored twice late in the game to bring the final score to 38-28, Bearcats.
