August 29
A sexual assault was reported by a mother on Anderson Street. She reported to Officer Archie Mills that a male living at 1001 Anderson Street had approached her child for sexual purposes.
She pointed out Donny Herns tot he officer. She reported that he and a female passenger drove up in a gold Mercury Cougar. The juvenile stated Herns asked him where he lived and not to worry about him. He then complimented him for being cute and stated he wanted to know what was under his pants.
The juvenile stated that Herns claimed to follow him home and stated you don't have to be scared to come with me. He stated he told Herns that he did not know him like that and pedaled away as fast as he could to a neighbor's house.
Several persons witnessed Herns in his vehicle talking to the juvenile in the street. Herns stated he was dropping off his cousin, John Wooden, and stated his female passenger "Keiko" was very intoxicated and he did not know where she lived. Herns was arrested and charged for enticing a child for indecent purposes.
August 28
A Potter Street resident reported a theft of property to Officer Anthony Stubbs. Reported stolen from his yard was a 5x12 black trailer with wood bottom and tilt bed valued at $850, a craftsman professional 24 hp 42" yard tractor valued at $2064 and a Craftsmans rear propel lawn mower valued at $328 were taken. He stated his neighbor observed a white ford f-150 pull in his yard and take the trailer which contained the items.
August 27
Officer Brent Haire responded to a burglary on North Miller Avenue. The resident reported the burglar removed an air conditioner and entered through the window. Missing from the home was a 47" Phillips LCD TV and a 32" Sanyo LCD TV. The resident also stated a Roadmaster mountain bike had been stolen from his back porch 2 days earlier.
August 26
A stolen boat was reported to Officer Ryan Deen. The owner had just discovered that it had been stolen when he saw it sitting beside a local pawn shop. The owner reported that he had loaned it to Chris Easterwood of Gate Drive about 5 days earlier. Now it was pawned.
August 26
A Drane Smith Road resident reported a burglary to Deputy Steve Black. He arrived home to find the door to his home open. Missing from the house was assorted change in mason jars and a Smith and Wesson .32 caliber snub nose pistol.
August 25
A resident reported to Deputy Daryl Long that his 14 ft. boat was stolen from property on Silver Lake Road. He stated the lock was cut off the chain. The gray boat contained a paddle and a life preserver and did not have a motor.
August 25
An Old Pelham Road resident reported to Deputies Brett Trammell and Daryl Long that she arrived home to find her rear door window broken out. The resident reported a Harley Davidson folding knife shaped like a road king motorcycle, a broken Playstation 2 and an empty black cash box missing.
August 24
BPS Cpl Brian Boyett responded to Miluli Avenue behind Bainbridge Middle School in reference to a robbery. The victim stated that he was standing at the intersection when a male wearing a white shirt and black shorts walked up to him asking for money. He told the male he did not have any money and the offender then punched him in the face. He reported that another male with braids, wearing a black shirt with multicolor writing, then snatched his blue LG flip phone. The male with the phone ran west on Miluli Avenue and the other male ran east. A search of the area yielded no suspects
August 23
Deputy Steve Black responded to 715 Cal Thomas Road in reference to burglary. The complainant stated he returned home and found his DVDs were scattered on the floor and the drawers to the dresser and chest of drawers open. Patterson stated he exited his residence, called 911, and waited in his vehicle for law enforcement. Patterson stated the only thing missing was a set Perfect Push-ups and a pair of work out gloves. Deputy Black found that the front door had been kicked open.
August 21
A Jinks Crossing resident reported to Deputy Daryl Long that he discovered his pistol missing. It was described as a .38 caliber 5 shot Rossi revolver, black in color.
August 20
Officer Anthony Stubbs responded to Monroe Street Apartments in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported the back door had been kicked in and several items stolen. Taken were a big screen RCA floor model TV and playstation game console with one game.
August 20
At about 9 pm, Officer Anthony Stubbs responded 401 East Louise Street in reference to a female with face injuries. As he arrived, Terrance Hallman walked away and said fxxx the police. Officer Stubbs took Mr. Hallman into custody and asked him what happened. Hallman, who appeared to have been drinking, refused to talk.
The officer spoke with the victim who stated that she and Hallman were arguing about her going to New York. He told her she was not going to New York and she continued to question his refusal to her going.
She reported that
Terrance then began to hit her in the face and held her in the room against her will. When he was distracted, she hit him in the head with a broom and ran. She fell at the back door and Hallman began to kick her in the side and back. He also had a knife and tried to stab her and said "I'm going to kill you".
Officer Stubbs observed a lump on the right side of her forehead, she had blood under and on the bridge of her nose and bruises on both arms. Her aunt stated she had witnessed him kicking and hitting her.
When Terrance Hallman arrived at Public Safety, he said she hit him first.
Terrance Hallman was charged with battery (family violence) and aggravated assault.
August 16
A south West Street resident reported a car burglary from his unlocked vehicle to Officer Hank Day. The resident stated that a Smith and Wesson .22 caliber long revolver and cigarettes had been stolen.
August 15
Two vehicles at Pine Ridge Apts on Hubert Dollar Drive were found burglarized. A resident reported to Captain Bunting that his vehicle's passenger side window was broken out. A CD player and an Equalizer had been stolen.
On the other side of the parking lot, another vehicle was found with the driver side window broken out. A Pioneer big face touch screen CD player with an internal six dish changer had been taken.
August 15
A Lamar Street resident reported a burglary to Cpl Aaron Brown. The resident reported he had returned home to find that things in his shed had been moved around. On further inspection he found a pressure washer, cordless drill, small tool box, and a drill box with the bits was missing.
August 15
A Cameron Drive resident reported a car burglary to Officer Demetric Stubbs. She reported that about $450 in items were stolen including a portable DVD player and case and a Nano Apple I-Pod.
August 14
A car burglary of another unlocked vehicle to Captain Fred Black. The Rose Circle resident reported a GPS and his wallet was taken from the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in his carport beside his home.
August 13
A theft was reported to Kenneth Officer Ellison by a Martin Street resident. He reported a generator a red and brown GENERATOR that had been bolted into the BED OF HIS truck had been taken.
August 13
A resident reported a theft from her unlocked car the previous night to Officer Brent Haire. The Louise Street resident reported a Pioneer CD Player and $10 from her purse had been stolen.
August 13
An Evans Street resident reported a burglary to Officer Ryan Deen. The resident reported that someone had broken into his tool box and stole a Black and Decker drill and a skill saw.
August 13
A South West Street resident reported a car burglary to Officer Ryan Deen. He reported a Pioneer CD Player had been taken.
August 7
A car burglary was reported to Officer Beau Harrell. The East Shotwell Street resident found that someone had entered her vehicle and stolen HER PURSE with about $100 and misc ID's.
August 6
A resident's car broke down and was left on John Johnson Street. When he returned, he found the driver's side window broken out and items stolen.
He reported missing from the car was 4 pair of Pioneer 6.5 inch speakers, 2 pair of pioneer 6x9 inch speakers, 1 pair of 3.5 inch speakers and a pair of dome tweeters. The dash pad was torn off the dash and the face of the pioneer radio had been broken off along with the gear shifter knob.
