A concerned citizen spotted a car at Bainbridge Machine on Bruton Street at about 3:30 am Wednesday night.  When they saw 2 males get out of the car, they called 911.

A couple of minutes later, they pulled out and headed north on Bruton.  Bainbridge Public Safety Officers Rusty Day and Gary Hines were responding to the call heading south on Bruton.

The car did not really want to stop for the blue lights and Officer Day pulled in front of him to force him to stop.

Officers asked the 2 very nervous males what they were doing at the Machine Shop.  They said a belt had come off their car and had stopped to check it.  The witness never saw the car's hood raised.

Officer Hines noticed oil had poured out of the trunk of the car and asked to look in the trunk.  he found the trunk loaded with engine parts.  In the trunk were several brake rotors, a strut, a header, and half of a motor head pouring oil.
